PONTIFICAL MISSION SOCIETY (PMS)
Mission:
The Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) are concerned with the missionary animation and cooperation of the mandate of Jesus: “Go, make disciples of all nations, baptise them … and teach them all …” (Mt 28:19-20a)
The four societies of PMS, viz.
• The Society for the Propagation of Faith (SPF)
• The Society of Holy Childhood (SHC)
• The Society of St Peter the Apostle (SPA)
• The Society for Missionary Union (SMU)
occupy a central place in missionary animation and cooperation through prayer, sacrifice, charitable works, and material and financial aid among the laity, special mention of children and catechists, reli- gious sisters and brothers, and priests. The PMS depend on the Episco- pal Conference, viz. the Episcopal Commission for Mission, and local Bishops in the promotion and direction of their universal mission for the inter-ecclesial cooperation at the regional, national, diocesan and parochial levels.

EPISCOPAL COMMISSION FOR THE PASTORAL CARE OF MIGRANTS AND ITINERANTS (ECMI)
Objectives & Purpose:
1. To serve as a forum for all Diocesan Migrant Ministries to meet and collaborate on migration issues.
2. To make available Diocesan Migrant Ministry guidelines to dioceses and assist in its implementation.
3. To make available training and formation programmes.
4. To create awareness on the need for Catholics to respond to the plight of migrants.
5. To state the Church’s official position on migration issues.
6. To network with other NGOs or bodies involved in migration advocacy.
7. To liaise with CBCMSB and the Migrant & Refugees Setion of Dicastery for Promotion of Integral Human Development.

MINOR BASILICA
The Church of St. Anne, now elevated to the Minor Basilica of St. Anne since 5th September 2019, intensifies the bond with the Church of Rome and the Holy Father, the Pope. It was granted the title of ‘Minor Basilica’ by the Pope through the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
